JCFJ identity
The Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice is a religious organisation which deals with some of the most marginalised members of our society. Through direct aid and intervention they work within prisons, among immigrant communities, the socially deprived, homeless and those with addictions.
Their hands-on activities inform a strong ethos of publishing their findings and the results of their social research. In these roles, they often find themselves in positions where their voice is required among high-level forums and government bodies and a decision was taken to develop a new identity in order to make their communications materials more effective.
We developed a typemark with resonances of handwritten script, reflecting the strong social theological background to their work – the ‘bearing witness’ aspect. Colours were chosen to reflect their background as a Jesuit organisation and to bring to their materials a certain gravitas. These are serious subjects and our identity helps to bring authority to their publications, press releases and presentation materials.
